How To Drive Efficiency With These Productivity Secrets

For some individuals, 24 hrs a day never seem to be enough for all the numerous tasks they have to do daily. They seem to always have so much to do, juggling against time to meet up.

On the other hand, you have James and Janet who just seem to be able to squeeze out the precious time you think you do not have and achieve more. James and Janet are always on top of their game…

And so you start to wonder how James and Janet get to achieve so much more daily than yourself? After all, we all have the same 24 hrs to utilize daily.

In this article, I will share with you 20 productivity tips that have helped me in the last 2 decades and are still helping me.

  1. Wake up 1-2hrs earlier
  2. Your daily to-do-list is important, Work out what is important and what is not. Categorize tasks.
  3. Eat the big frogs first, in other words, start with the biggest and most important tasks.
  4. Make a mental note of the timing required for each task so this gives you an idea of time to be invested in each task
  5. Deliberately set up regular break intervals, to snack, take a drink, crack a joke with a colleague, quick check on your loved one(ones) or stretch your legs and just get a bit of fresh air.
  6. Just DO it and stop procrastinating
  7. Focus on your daily goals and ignore the others, you can go back to them later
  8. Avoid meetings at all costs and where you can’t there must be a specific desired outcome of the meeting which helps you focus. Some meetings are just time wasters.

  10. Learn to delegate assignments.
  11. Automate tasks as much as possible

  13. Take a break and let your hair down. Work hard, work smart, and play hard.
  14. If you are a career woman, a mother, and a wife like myself, being productive extends to the home. Have a food menu to guide the healthy eating of your family. Be sure to pre-pack the weekly consumptions of soups and stews into little bowls for easy microwaving.
  15. If you can afford it, pay people to take the stress off you. Get a cleaner, get a chauffeur, get a gardener, and stop spending precious hours on such tasks to avoid becoming spent! Your time is worth more!
  16. Sunday evenings are great for planning the week ahead. This should include your wardrobe.
  17. Have a positive outlook on life generally because it is what it is. No need to tear off your hair because things didn’t go as planned. #Positivevibesonly
  18. Write out your goals and place it where you can see it daily
  19. Have a goal tracker, it could be personal or business goals, and make sure to check back on yourself and the progress you are or not making
  20. Do not be scared to review, re-jig, re-tweak till you get it right. You can even discard goals that are no more working, not needed, or no more relevant in the scheme of things.

Lastly, avoid second-guessing yourself, so relax, remain confident, you ”gat” this.
