An interesting conversation I must say comes up around ‘how to manage and measure the productivity of your team’! Join this conversation and share your thoughts!

Have you thought about measuring productivity by profit?
More like watching returns on investment. Keeping track of only the bottom line. More like not getting involved in other complications leading up to profit or loss but only watching higher level functions.
Service based productivity:
For you to effectively measure service, first determine what is of utmost importance to your business and sincerely, I think this should cut across all industries: Politeness, prompt response to emails, quality Feedback lead time, promptness to issues raised, relationship with your clients or customers and conversant with trends, Ability to engage in quality conversations
No matter what kind of products or services your business offers, it’s important to measure serviced based productivity as a happy customer or client is a returning one. No business survives without a healthy clientele base.

Time Management measurement:
I personally love this more as it gives a clear indication of what the employee is wasting time in as against performing his/her tasks. I recall back in the days, for one of my clients, we used to complete time sheets that showed the number of hours spent per task and this was submitted alongside the monthly retainer fees to justify our productivity.
Well, we have presently moved past manual to virtual tools (Productivity Measuring SoftwarePprograms) now where trackers can be installed in working devices to track and measure time spent or not spent on being productive.
This helps to keep employees from procrastinating and shows a record of the time they spent to perform their daily tasks.
Perhaps, this is something to be considered as it helps to keep employees on their toes because at some point, the productivity of even your stars drop. I will love to hear your POV but I strongly believe in helping our teams deliver quality jobs within the stipulated timelines and reduce failures moving on.
